About
The "Feels Like Hessen" calendar competition, in its fourth edition, sought captivating interpretations of the theme "Feels Like Hessen." They were looking for participants to deliver both outstanding content and exceptional visual presentations. They invited a fresh and unexpected perspective on Hessen – your unique vision of this region!
Synopsis
In my illustration, I aimed to capture the enchanting atmosphere of the Hessian forests. The stories of the Brothers Grimm served as my inspiration, as they were inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Hessen to write some of their most famous fairy tales a long, long time ago. To follow in their footsteps, a walk in the woods with a friend who is a falconer was my initial impulse. And so it happened that the noble figure of the birds and the silent grandeur of the forest left a deep impression on me and can now be seen immortalized in the present artwork.
